Thomson Grass Valley to deliver key updates at IBC 2002

Continuing to expand its portfolio of digital workflow tools for news professionals, Thomson Grass Valley is delivering key updates to its Digital News Production Solution this year at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam.
Chief among them is the integration of the entire Thomson Grass Valley news production system including—the FeedClip™ interactive feed capture system, NewsEdit™ nonlinear editor, NewsQ™ manual playback system, NewsQ Pro playback control system and Profile® XP Media Platform—with the NewsShare™ Media Area Network, a real-time video storage area network (VSAN).
Thomson Grass Valley is also debuting its NewsBrowse™ desktop browsing/editing system and delivering new key features for its NewsEdit system and NewsEdit LT laptop-based nonlinear editor.
In the drive to embrace digital technologies, news organizations are demanding open, standards-based technologies that let them mix and match products to suit their particular workflows—including PC-based newsgathering tools, newsroom computing systems, and SAN architectures. From ingest and triage to editing and playout, the Thomson Grass Valley Digital News Production Solution brings digital speed, simplicity, and high quality to the entire news production process.
