Grass Valley High Def For Royal Wedding

On June 19th, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden will marry Daniel Westling. This will be the first royal wedding in Sweden in more than 30 years, with particularly high interest in the event in Sweden itself and the rest of the European Union.
National broadcaster SVT will be providing coverage of the entire day of ceremonies including the wedding itself at Storkyrkan in Stockholm. The wedding will be attended by heads of state from across Europe and others, with a guest list exceeding 1,000 people.
SVT are planning to use a high definition Outside Broadcast truck hired from Mediatec Broadcast Sweden to cover the festivities on the eve of the wedding.
Three additional trucks will be used to cover the formal wedding ceremony and will rely exclusively on Grass Valley LDK 8000 Elite high definition cameras, with over 60 cameras employed. Grass Valley will also provide on-site support for Mediatec for its coverage of the royal wedding.
SVT's live broadcast will be seen in Sweden and other Scandinavian countries, with the coverage being made available by SVT to broadcasters worldwide.
The OB trucks supplied by Mediatec Broadcast Sweden will also be equipped with Kayenne XL production switchers, Trinix routers, and GeckoFlex modular equipment.
