ITFC Helps Allegro Films Go Digital

The London-based provider of content management services to broadcasters and content owners, has extended its long-standing working relationship with Christopher Nupen of Allegro films - one of the UK's leading producers of high-level television classical music programming.
ITFC has provided high specification digital solutions to preserve and future proof Allegro films' wealth of classical music films.
Allegro films has been a pioneering force in its demanding field since it started in 1968 and a string of major successes and prizes in the last three years have confirmed that it remains so. Responding now to a number of new challenges, as the world moves into the digital age, and with long-term preservation very much in mind, Allegro asked ITFC to produce high specification digital solutions for uncompressed long-term, storage, preservation and digital dissemination. This aims to make the results as future-proof as the most advanced state-of-the-art technology allows.
Christopher Nupen commented: "ITFC has never let us down, neither in terms of the exceptional quality that music programming demands nor with deliveries which have always been bang on time. I'm holding thumbs that all this pioneering new stuff will work in the same way."
Ian Beushaw, Head of Digital Media at ITFC, worked closely with Christopher Nupen to produce comprehensive solutions to the new requirements, he commented: "We’ve worked on restoration and Christopher’s DVD releases for a number of years, so we know the character, the style and the quality of his work. This is not just a case of dropping everything onto a hard drive, it’s about migrating all the relevant metadata, ingesting and encoding, uncompressed, to the highest possible level and ensuring that we can deliver to all platforms and traditional formats as well.
"We’ve expanded our services and embraced digital delivery, applying the same stringent procedures to this as we have to traditional post over the last 30 years," continued Ian.
Allegro Films has started delivering to the classical music video platform Naxos Video Library and partnering with ITFC has enabled a seamless and efficient workflow. Working with ITFC has provided Allegro with a seamless and efficient transfer of assets, ensuring this exceptional content is preserved for many years to come.
Naxos Video Library is a subscriber based online classical music video platform used by universities, academies and music specialists worldwide.
