BDL-Autoscript prompters to be installed in Bahrain

Bahrain Radio and TV has ordered a number of new BDL-Autoscript prompting base systems and on-camera equipment.
The new systems will be used both in newsrooms, on location, and for conferences. The equipment will complement existing BDL-Autoscript systems.

BDL-Autoscript is supplying 13 +WinPlus+ prompting systems integrated into the existing electronic newsroom system. There will be an additional four new location base stations incorporating BDL¹s new XBox USB location prompter plus the high brightness 12" TFT mains/battery powered on-camera prompters and five new style 6" TFT on-camera units for handheld and Steadicam use.
Upgrades to the existing studios include adding 15" high brightness TFT on-camera prompters and equipping three further studios: in excess of 20 units in total. The "hi-brite" units incorporate a unique video sampling system, which enables the backlight to be dimmed or cut when valid video is not present. BDL estimates that this feature should extend the backlight life up to by 30%. The total value of the order is £176,636.
