RTÉ Receives Planning Consent For Donnybrook Redevelopment

RTÉ has been given the green light to redevelop its Donnybrook site in Dublin.
The next stage of the planning process now entails all parties having an opportunity over the next four weeks to lodge appeals with An Bord Pleanála.
RTÉ has welcomed the decision made by Dublin City Council, saying the proposed redevelopment, known as Project 2025, is an "important step in its plans to ensure Irish licence fee payers continue to receive the best quality TV, radio and online services, over the next 20-30 years".
The station plans to demolish most of the existing facilities at the site and build three interconnected blocks for broadcasting facilities by 2025.
The proposal would also involve building a new entrance onto the N11 Stillorgan dual carriageway.
Local councillors accepted the scheme last November.
