Smirnoff Ice commercial filmed in Dublin

The new Smirnoff Ice commercial, currently screening on TV3, Sky, Channel 4 and UTV, was filmed in Dublin over a three day period in July, and produced in Ireland by Toy Town, and edited at Windmill Lane.
DDFH&B, the Irish ad agency behind the new Smirnoff Ice 'As Clear As Your Conscience' commercial, came up with the winning concept early in 2002, in which two Irishmen think all their dreams have come true when they end up surrounded by some lovely girls in an Dublin bar, until one realises that the girls are, in fact, promoting their new show, 'Ladyboys'.
The advertisement was produced by Outsider, the UK production company, and was made in conjunction with Toy Town, the Irish commercials production company. Cine Electric provided the lighting and generators for the three-day shoot.
At the moment, the advertisement will only be shown in the Irish market, but according to Ailish Murphy, the account manager at DDFH&B, it may go to other territories. Currently the ad is showing on UTV, Sky, TV3 and Channel 4 (RTE do not show alcohol advertisements) with a running time of 60 seconds, and will go to a 30 second cut from next week, and will be scheduled for the duration of the 'As Clear As Your Conscience' promotion, about 12 months.
