Vbrick Systems launch digital Video on Demand system

VBrick Systems, a leader in low-cost, DVD-quality video networking appliances, have announced the availability of its Video on Demand Server (VBVoD).
This system, designed for a range of applications including distance learning, corporate training and news distribution, streams high-quality video to the desktop, TV monitors, projectors and other standard video display devices. The VBVoD eliminates the need for organizations to maintain vast video libraries on tape and is a cost effective alternative to low quality “Internet” servers designed to support low bandwidth Internet video.
The intuitive, easy-to-use VBVoD allows users to drag-and-drop MPEG video files from any PC in the network for instant availability of video on demand. Users can then watch high quality, full motion video on their desktops within their browser, controlling the playback to meet their needs. With simple desktop administration, VBVoD assigns privileges to users to identify content that can be viewed, adding/deleting users as necessary and allowing for password protection and management.
