Total film care systems available from RTI (UK)

RTI (UK) have confirmed that the following products will be on display at IBC in Amsterdam.
Introduced at IBC 2000, the CF8200 Ultrasonic Film Cleaning System, has now become the new standard for cleaning valuable and sensitive film. The CF8200, which uses HFE fluid in place of chlorinated solvent, was awarded an Emmy in July 2000 together with Consolidated Film Industries (CFI) for their joint development of this new machine. This prestigious award is in recognition for achievements that exhibit a high level of engineering which are considered important to the progress of the industry.
Alongside the CF8200 will be the Excel 2000 Film Cleaner. The Excel 2000 film cleaning system provides exceptional film cleaning power and speed, thanks to new advancements in cleaning and drying technologies. In the Excel 2000, surface dirt is first removed by a series of four moulded polymer particulate transfer rollers. The film is then thoroughly cleaned by means of eight softnap rotary buffers wetted with isopropanol or naptha.
IBC will also see the arrival of the new TapeChek 4100 Digital Laser System. This new version of the hugely successful TapeChek range can automatically detect all Betacam formats including SP, Digital, SX, IMX and HDCAM. The new style Laser Detector offers greater and more consistent levels of defect detection.
