Lowel Blender Brings Intuitive LED Lighting

A manufacturer and supplier of photographic filters and lens accessories for imaging and the motion picture and broadcast industries, has announced the availability of its versatile new Blender LED light.
Lowel Lighting, part of Tiffen, are now providing daylight, tungsten and mixtures in-between, with intuitive controls which can deliver colour-matched light for a variety of location video needs without using gels.
The Lowel Blender light source comprises twin arrays of high CRI (Color Rendering Index) LEDs to produce light that allows crisp and more naturally coloured pictures. Two rotary controls on the back of the lamphead provide continuous individual adjustment of the daylight and tungsten LED intensities. The overall light output blends to deliver the right colour that makes shots look naturally lit.
With the lamphead measuring 100 x 75 x 75 mm it is small enough to fit on a pistol grip or compact lighting stand. The kit includes a set of three front diffusers to soften and vary the blended light output which is up to 4509 Lux at 2 feet when using the supplied frost diffuser, rising to 6708 Lux without it. There is also an accessory slot for a gel frame or umbrella.
The compact size, weight of only 550 grams and ability to run from 7.2-15 VDC batteries, or via an AC power adaptor, make the Lowel Blender LED light easy to carry as a part of the camera kit.
