Altered Images Announces Student Post Production Awards 2010

Altered Images, a leading reseller of technology for the television production and corporate communications industries, has unveiled the launch of its inaugural Post Production Awards for student editors, in association with Avid and JVC.
Winners of the Altered Images Student Post Production Awards 2010 will be announced at a reception at the UK's leading industry event, Broadcast Video Expo on February 18.
Altered Images said that they were "proud" to spearhead this unique opportunity, the first industry-led competition open solely to student editors. The aim is to seek out the stars of tomorrow and reveal new talent to the post production community, highlighting the importance of creativity at the earliest level. The competition is open to UK-based student editors at BTEC, undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Finalists will be selected by a panel of well-known and respected online editors and colourists. First prize is a full Avid suite worth £14,000, second prize is a JVC HD Everio camera. Runner-up prizes include: Avid Media Composer software and other JVC products.
