VectorBox Helps Music Play On Mushroom TV

An acknowledged pioneer in graphics and playout solutions, Vector3, has announced that UK-based Mushroom TV has purchased another VectorBox solution to manage playout automation of their highly popular STARZ Channel.
For the last six years, Mushroom TV has relied on Vector playout automation technology for multi-channel playout management of their various music channels including STARZ.
Adam Levoi, Chief Engineer, Mushroom TV, said: "We have been successfully using the VectorBox playout automation technology for over seven years; running multiple music TV channels on the Sky platform.
"With the excellent track record in reliability and capabilities, we went back to VectorBox when it came to upgrade the operation.
"For the last seven years we have experienced nothing less than excellent reliability, performance and support. We did a test run of other playout systems, but in the end Vector 3 outperformed in every category," he said.
STARZ is an interactive music channel in which its viewers text their favourite video requests. Mimicking the function of a jukebox, the playlist is dynamically generated based on viewer input.
The VectorBox system manages the constant changing data instructions with ease; integrating graphics, titles and content on the fly for perfectly timed playout over the Sky Digital Network. The tapeless workflow provides 7/24 playout continuity with unparallel reliability.
