Lynx Digital plans New Media division

Television and film company Lynx Digital has announced plans to launch a New Media division.
The move comes as the company seeks to expand its current business into the New Media sector. Traditionally a post production and studio facility Lynx has a client list that includes companies such as the BBC, Lynx will aim to provide online marketing and communications solutions tailored for the television and film industry.
"Our solutions are aimed to provide program makers with effective online campaigns which increase viewing figures and audience satisfaction," commented Kunle Barker , Head of Business Development. The company has already completed projects for companies such as Anvil (who worked on 'Raiders of the Lost Ark', 'Star Wars', and the 'Harry Potter' films) and the makers of the 'Carry On' films.
Lynx which operates out of a £12m site in Denham Village Middlesex, estimates that the demand for this new service will be huge as unlike many of its potential competitors Lynx has over 20 years experience in the television and film industry.
Lynx understands the demands and needs of the industry and has the technical ability to deliver bespoke solutions which enhance audience satisfaction. Services such as Email/SMS marketing and 'viral gaming' will all help to improve viewing figure for clients.
"It seemed like the obvious move, we understand the industry and the potential that online campaigns represent for programming," comments Kunle Barker. "The full capacity of the internet is not really used in our industry. 'Walking with Dinosaurs' and other BBC programs have led the way so far, but many productions do not have the recourses of the BBC to call on. The amount of effort and budget that it takes to produce quality programming means that for many TV and production companies webs sites can be a second thought."
Recently television production company De Box has instructed Lynx to complete an online campaign for the new channel 4 sports program 'NO PAIN NO GAIN'.
The program is due to be aired on 21st September and features England star Rio Ferdinand. The show follows the past and present daily routines of sports stars and examines how sports personalities train to get to the top of their game.
