Wohler Names The AV Group Sole Australian Distributor |
|
Wohler Technologies has announced that it is strengthening its presence in the Australian broadcast market by bringing the products formerly sold under the Europa Australia brand, under the control of The AV Group.
In serving as sole Australian distributor for Wohler products, including the Europa line of closed-captioning and data control solutions, The AV Group will provide resellers with localised logistics, sales and marketing activities and convenient pre- and post-sale support.
Kim Templeman-Holmes, Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at Wohler, said: "By offering reliable products from leading manufacturers and backing sales with knowledgeable service and support, The AV Group has developed strong relationships with leading broadcast and media companies across Australia.
"We're pleased to be working even more closely with The AV Group and are confident that resellers and broadcasters within the Australian market will benefit through ready access to Wohler and Europa products, complemented by the high level of knowledge, service and support The AV Group provides."
The AV Group has a long history of representing Wohler products, having introduced Wohler monitoring products to the Australian market in 1993. The company now also will hold stock of the acclaimed HDCC closed-captioning cards, the flagship product in the Europa line and the industry's only platform-based closed-captioning system capable of supporting all global standards.
Wohler acquired Europa Australia Pty Ltd in 2008 and product development continues to be led by Elio Deluca, one of the world's preeminent experts in the field of closed-captioning and data insertion and extraction technologies. As a result, The AV Group will be a resource not only for leading monitoring products, but also for premier closed-captioning and data control solutions that streamline advanced broadcast workflows.
Peter Rolston, Managing Director at The AV Group, said: "In today's environment, it is critical that distributors be equipped to deliver new strategies and products to meet the changing needs of the broadcast and pro AV markets.
"By serving as a single source for Wohler's growing range of products and the innovative technology represented by the Europa line, our company now is even better positioned to provide clients with cost-effective solutions and efficient workflows for media production and delivery."
