Online Locations Library For North Of England Launched

The first ever, it is claimed, commercial online locations library for the North of England has been launched, giving photographers, film, TV and commercial production companies access to thousands of special and unique locations at the click of a button.

Putting an end to scouring the streets and knocking on doors, North West Locations and Yorkshire Locations has been set up by Nick Jones – a freelance locations manager for over ten years – who’s experienced the highs and lows of finding the perfect location.

The new web-based company features several thousand residential and business properties throughout the North West and Yorkshire, available for filming and photo shoots.

Jones explains: “The website provides a comprehensive library of filming and photography locations across the North West and Yorkshire, including manors, apartments, parks and gardens, lakes and reservoirs and many more exclusive locations.”

Having worked for a wide range of production companies including Granada TV, Yorkshire TV, BBC and Hat Trick Productions, Jones recognised the need for a database of properties in the North.

Jones added: “The North West and Yorkshire are more popular than ever for filming and photography, in fact they’re the most popular parts of the country for filming outside Greater London. However, unlike in London there was no commercial online locations library.

“Directors, designers, production managers, producers, photographers and researchers searching for specific locations, need look on further. I hope the website will put an end to those time-consuming and long days of trawling the streets and knocking on doors to find that perfect location.”

To find a property just visit: www.northwestlocations.co.uk and www.yorkshirelocations.co.uk or email for further info: North West Locations.
