IRDETO AND YES TV DEMONSTRATE CONTENT PROTECTION

IRDETO Access, one of the world’s leading content protection and management company, and Yes Television, have demonstrated the new real time content protection system at IBC.
As the IP TV market grows, Irdeto Access and Yes Television both understand the importance of maintaining the highest level of content protection available. The new system is based on Irdeto CypherCast technology and will secure real time television broadcast, Video on Demand (VOD) and other advanced services at bit rates suitable for IP networks such as ADSL and FTTH. This technology will allow Yes TV to gain access to high value content for VOD and IP services.
The new system is cost effective, easy to integrate with IP TV systems, does not restrict choice of servers and can eliminate the operational overhead of pre-encrypting and managing encrypted video material.
Subscribers to IP TV and VOD will have access to real time store, pause, playback and other network ‘trick mode’ features such as fast forward and rewind. With the highest levels of personalised security and scalability to handle a very large numbers of subscribers, the system is aimed at the new generation of convergence. Typical customers would be telcos and other IP network operations wishing to deliver a mix of high value advanced services to both televisions and PCs. (CD)
