The service is a new and cost-effective alternative to live satellite transmission. Media HighSpeed is a comprehensive alternative for broadcasters, production companies and sports arenas who produce and transfer video content prior to broadcasting.
Net Insight has provided the networking equipment for Tele2 Media HighSpeed, which is based on the newly standardised Dynamic Synchronous Transfer Mode DTM technology.
Tele2 Media HighSpeed is a high quality multi-service solution that supports both the transport of compressed data and video over IP and uncompressed 270 Mbps video signals. In practice, a Tele2 Media HighSpeed connection can handle the simultaneous transfer of Internet/Extranet services, Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections and 270 Mbps SDI video signal over the same infrastructure. All in separate and secure logical channels. This gives media companies the opportunity to streamline and rationalise their production, contribution and distribution.
