THOMSON TRINIX ROUTING SWITCHER INSTALLED AT TRIBUNE
THE BROADCAST Solutions' Media Networking and Control business of Thomson multimedia have announced that the Tribune Entertainment Company have installed the first Thomson Trinix routing switcher in the United States at Tribune Studios.
Announced at NAB 2001, Trinix routers are some of the world's most dense routing switchers, offering simultaneous standard (SD) and high definition (HD) routing in both an 8RU and a 15RU footprint in configurations up to 1024x1024. In keeping with commitments made to the industry during NAB 2001, Thomson were able to guarantee Tribune Entertainment Company and Studios' timeframe of 38 days from purchase order to installation.
Tribune purchased a 128x128 Trinix SDI router housed in an 8RU chassis along with a dozen control panels, tally interface and two VM-3000B control electronics modules. Also ordered was a 16x16 Triton audio routing switcher and a 16x16 Triton video routing switcher.
