STINK LAUNCH STOCKHOLM OFFICE

LONDON-based production-company Stink have announced the launch of a new division based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Stink have a good working relationship with the Scandinavian market, which made this step feel like a natural progression. Added to this is the news that Anna Adamson, formerly of Martin & Co., will be heading up Stink, Stockholm. She will be taking award-winning director Jens Jonsson, represented by Stink, London in the rest of the world, with her. Adam Berg, from Jarowskij and all of Stink, London’s directors have been added to the Stink, Stockholm’s roster.
Anna Adamson says of Stink, Stockholm, “When Jens and I decided to leave Martin & Co, it felt like a natural step, since we work very closely with Stink in all the other markets.”
The initial idea of a Swedish branch of Stink came from Stink’s Head of Production, Robert Herman, and was fully endorsed by Managing Director, Daniel Bergmann. Stink have always planned to launch an international division of Stink, however, in the current political and economic environment these plans have been put on hold. So what is it that made forming a Scandinavian branch of Stink so tempting?
Anna Adamson said: “Stink has done a lot of jobs on the Scandinavian market in the past, as it is a very interesting market creatively”. Daniel Bergmann emphasizes this point in saying: “Scandinavia is one of the most creative market in Europe. The agencies are always trying to push their ideas, which makes it a very exciting environment to work in”.
The formation of Stink, Stockholm will allow easier access to Stink directors by the Scandinavian market, and will create a new platform for emerging directors. There are also financial benefits in that Stink, Stockholm will be able to invoice agencies in SEK (Swedish currency) instead of UKP, which is very strong in comparison, thus making Stink, Stockholm more competitive financially.
