Source Distribution To Display New Products At BPM 2014

News Image
Source Distribution will be hosting a number of new products from Moog, PreSonus and RØDE at the BPM 2014 show in Birmingham next month, alongside best-selling products from Arturia, Universal Audio, Genelec and Eventide.

The limited edition Moog Sub 37 Tribute paraphonic analogue synthesiser is about to land in the UK, and BPM will be the first public outing for this analogue monster. Based on the best-selling Sub Phatty, the Sub 37 boasts a 37-note velocity sensitive keyboard with aftertouch, two modulation busses with assignable source and destinations, syncable arpeggiator and step sequencer, and a classic Moog ladder filter with resonance, multidrive and selectable filter slopes.
Also making its UK debut, the Moog Theremini is the most accessible and affordable Theremin yet. Using the sound engine derived from the award-winning Animoog, the Theremini allows a variable amount of assistive pitch quantization to be applied – making it impossible to play a wrong note if the maximum quantization is applied, and introducing more expression as the quantization is reduced. A built-in tuner, stereo delay and loudspeaker are provided, and extra connectivity is provided via headphone, line and pitch CV outputs, along with a mini USB jack for MIDI I/O.
New from PreSonus for BPM are the AudioBox iOne and iTwo USB 2.0 bus-powered audio interfaces for Mac, Windows and Apple iPad. Both units come bundled with PreSonus Studio One Artist DAW, Capture Duo recording software for iPad, and a Nimbit Free account for online direct-to-fan distribution of music, merchandise and more. Used in conjunction with Capture Duo or Capture for iPad, the iOne or iTwo allow you to record with an iPad, then wirelessly transfer your recordings directly to Studio One Artist to create a completely integrated mobile recording solution.
Finally, the RØDE NT-USB is a studio-grade microphone with the convenience of a digital USB interface, making it ideal for recording musical performances in addition to spoken applications such as podcasting and voice-over. The microphone is fully compatible with all mainstream recording applications on both Windows and Mac OS based computers, as well as the Apple iPad. The body of the NT-USB features a zero-latency stereo headphone monitoring mini-jack, which allows users to monitor the microphone input in real-time, along with controls to adjust the monitoring level and mix between the computer/iPad audio and the microphone input.
