Thomson Video Networks to Address 2012 Digital TV CEE On Broadcast-Quality OTT Delivery

Thomson Video Networks' Ludovic Pertuisel, the company's Web TV/OTT product line manager, will deliver a session at the Digital TV CEE conference, taking place June 26-28 in Prague.
Scheduled for June 27 at 3:10 p.m., the session, "Delivering Broadcast-Quality Video Over OTT Networks," will cover the essential differences that set Internet TV apart from broadcast delivery. Attendees will learn how advances in video compression and adaptive streaming for CDN networks can transform the viewing experience, and how Internet TV and broadcast systems can be integrated to ensure maximum benefit.
"This session will provide both the strategic and practical information needed to make informed decisions about OTT services and their implementation," said Pertuisel. "Because of the complexity involved in delivering OTT services, it is essential — in order to avoid costly mistakes — to make the right decisions early."
Thomson Video Networks will also showcase its innovative ViBE VS7000 multiscreen video compression platform on the exhibition floor.
