Softel To Discuss Second Screen Experience

Softel has announced that the company will participate in a number of panel discussions at the TV of Tomorrow conference taking place in San Francisco, CA on June 12-13.
Softel is an expert in both ancillary data processing and interactive TV and has recently announced the results of the company’s extensive investment into the second screen interactive market. Softel has combined its expertise in ancillary data (including broadcast triggering) with its knowledge of interactive TV to offer MediaSphere™ Bridge, an innovative first- and second-screen solution that delivers seamless interactivity to the viewers while letting broadcasters
drive the second screen experience.
Sam Pemberton, Softel’s CEO has been involved in iTV since its onset and is well placed to take part in the panel entitled “The Great Debate” on the first day of the conference at 5.05pm. During this session, industry leaders will assess the viewers’ experience of both single screen and second screen interactivity, then contrast them to examine their technology, potential for revenue generation, and future development.
Pemberton will also be a panelist on a session labeled “Measuring the Signal-to-Noise Ratio of the TV of Tomorrow”, taking place on the second day of the event at 9.30am and exploring the possible impact of the most recent technology developments in television.
Finally, Chip Newton, Softel’s director of business development will be a panelist in a session called “Nifty EBIF” taking place on the second day at 3.10pm, examining pioneering solutions that use cable’s deployed platform to deliver innovative interactive experiences to the viewers. Newton will offer a live showcase of Softel’s MediaSphere Bridge solution, unveiling several brand new concepts and apps.
