Anton/Bauer Features Power Solutions At HD World |
|
Anton/Bauer, a brand of The Vitec Group, and a premier provider of batteries, chargers, lighting and other mobile power systems for the professional broadcast, video and film industries, featured its new Tandem 150 Modular Power System with the Anton/Bauer Solar Panel, the EledZ and ULHM-LED signature light modules, high-current Dionic HC camera battery and fast-charge TM4 charger at HD World 2009.
These new high-performance solutions continue to illustrate on Anton/Bauer's proven expertise in providing innovative power solutions for today's HD camera equipment.
Shin Minowa, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Anton/Bauer, said: "Anton/Bauer has been at the forefront of designing and executing effective, next-generation mobile power solutions for the HD market. As more users have made the switch to digital and HD camera equipment, we have continued to create products that directly address their power needs."
HD World attendees were introduced to Anton/Bauer's new Tandem 150 Modular Power System, which brings users more options for power supply during remote and on-location shoots. Weighing just one pound, the Tandem 150 unit is the smallest and lightest charger and on-camera power supply available on the market.
This fully automatic system functions by separating the Gold Mount device (QR-TM) from the power supply (PSU-150), allowing a user to simultaneously charge a battery and power a camera. When a 75-watt draw is exceeded, the system automatically stops charging and performs solely as a 150-watt power supply. When the camera is turned off or the load is reduced below 75 watts, the Tandem 150 system instantly resumes normal operation, as a simultaneous charger/power supply. The Tandem 150 also provides maximum flexibility, giving the user the option of operating the system from the AC Mains (90 to 250 volts AC. 50-60 Hz); the charger via a car's cigarette lighter or with the award-winning Anton/Bauer Solar Panel.
Anton/Bauer's EledZ and ULHM-LED lights were also featured at HD World. Developed by Anton/Bauer with sister Vitec group brand, Litepanels, these LED light modules maximise HD camera battery run time by successfully cutting down the total power consumption of a user's lights.
The Dionic HC camera battery is capable of delivering up to 10 amps for high current draw applications, including on-camera lighting. With a 91 watt-hr capacity, it can operate a 40 watt HD camcorder for over two hours. The built-in and newly designed LCD real-time fuel gauge tracks up to four hours of run time. Using a seven segment numerical icon display, it indicates hours by number and circular arcs illustrate 15-minute time intervals.
The TM4 is a four-position, charge module-based, fast charger capable of handling the charging needs of up to four batteries simultaneously. The TM4 charges batteries up to two times faster than the Anton/Bauer TWQ charger, providing the end user with reliable battery backup power at all times. Also doubling as an AC power supply, the TM4 will power various equipment with a 70W supply via a 4-pin XLR. The power supply can be used simultaneously with the charger, allowing three batteries to be charged while operating from AC mains.
