Eyeheight announce irisOB vision mixer

An ultra-compact vision mixer designed for use in outside broadcast vehicles is now available from Eyeheight.

The irisOB vision mixer is a full 10-bit system comprising an eight-input/four-output programme/preview pushbutton channel selector, mix/wipe T-bar and 1U rack-mountable processor.

In addition to normal manual control, irisOB can be preset for automatic transitions. The latest addition to Eyeheight's wide range of standard definition and HD vision mixers and presentation switchers, irisOB can be locked to external SDI reference sync and continues operating in the absence of source signals.

irisOB is developed from the field-proven presTX and iris families and is fully compatible with Eyeheight's wide product range.

Eyeheight managing director Martin Moore said: "We have developed irisOB in response to the demand for a robust system which can be used as the main vision mixer in today's ultra-compact OB and mobile production vehicles or as a subsidiary mixer/switcher in full-size scanners. Equally suitable for widescreen and standard aspect ratio operation, it is available for 625 and 525-line markets."
