Rickshaw Alan has two Rickshaws specifically designed to achieve fast tracking/running shots using Steadicam.
The standard sit/kneel on Rickshaw allows the rig to be hard mounted using the Walter Klassen Garfield bracket. The operator can sit or kneel on the deck for either normal or low mode shots.
The Rickshaw also has a standard Boss adapter enabling bazooka sections, vibration isolator and head to be attached for conventional camera shooting. It is also great with hand held.
The Step on/Step off Rickshaw allows the operator to wear the Steadicam rig and mount and dismount during the shot. Ideal for running down a street with an artiste then following them up stairs in one move.
The rig can also be hard mounted via the Klassen self leveling Garfield mount and the operator can either stand, sit or kneel. The ground clearance of the Rickshaw can be quickly adjusted by changing the height of its 3 wheels.
Both models come equipped with robust off-road mountain bike wheels or balloon wheels and can be used in either extended or compact mode depending on space at the shooting location.
Each Rickshaw can be assembled quickly and easily with a simple allen key.

In cinematography, a focus puller or first assistant camera (1st AC) is the member of a film crew responsible for keeping the camera's focus at the proper position during a shoot. This typically requires pulling the focus with a follow focus device during the take, to compensate for camera and/or subject movement. This requires intimate knowledge and experience with the optical principle of depth of field, which the 1st AC must learn to exploit to his or her advantage. In extreme circumstances the depth of field may sometimes be very small, as little as 1/4 or 1/8th of an inch (3-6 mm). Since 1st ACs do not look through the camera (that is the job of the camera operator) and thus cannot see the results of their focusing in real-time, this job is considered to be extremely technically difficult. To accurately focus on the subject, it is common to measure the distance (usually with a tape measure or, more recently, with electronic tape measures using lasers) between the camera and the subject before the take, done usually as as the rest of the film crew prepares for the shot.
