IBC is the leading international forum for the electronic media industry. One of many exciting new features at IBC2009 is the Production Village, which is set to interest everyone from young engineers to experienced producers.
At its core will be a demonstration area that will play host to the biggest-ever display of cameras from multiple manufacturers. Visitors will be able to directly compare SD, HD and digital cinematography cameras in the best way possible – by trying them out themselves.
The Production Village will also showcase a broad range of training opportunities, from interactive operational training on cameras to group workshops for production managers and those planning new infrastructure investments.
Because IBC always practises what it preaches, its own production centre will also be on site. As will the IBC TV News base: some of its links and interviews will be shot on the stage at the centre of the camera display area.
Manufacturers and distributors can take small spaces within the Production Village, but it is primarily about professionals getting together, seeing the latest in techniques and technology, and sharing ideas. There’ll also be a bar onsite to help lubricate the debate!
The IBC Production Village is just one of a myriad new ideas for IBC2009, each aimed at helping visitors make the most out of their investment in knowledge and keeping IBC as the must-attend date in the media industry’s diary.
