Varizoom VZ-FC-U Focus Control
The Varizoom FC-U is a new focus controller that has been designed specifically for use with the PMW-EX1 & PMW-EX3 cameras. Due to the unique design of the EX series camera and lens, this new focus control unit attaches to the side of the existing lens via the matte box bars.
The manual control of the focus control works the same as the Canon and Fujinon professional studio controls. The main difference in the new Varizoom FC-U is the additional focus ring that mimics the similar style gear as on a standard lens.
Varizoom VZ-PRO-EX Pro 8-pin zoom control
The VZ Pro-EX provides remote zoom control for the Sony PMW-EX1 HDV professional video camera and it will clamp to any tripod handle, jib, or support bar. The Pro-EX features precise control of zoom speed, comfortable grip, and a heavy-duty aluminum housing.
Varizoom VZ-DVRODS DV Rod System
The Varizoom DV rod system boasts a remarkable range of adjustment that will accommodate most cameras, and the X-Y rods-adjustment plates are even reversible to allow greater upward adjustment. When combined with VariZoom's new quick release mechanism, the possibilities are extended even further.
The DV rod system also has additional threaded holes to enable attachment of aft-mount rods that will allow even more accessories to be mounted behind the camera, helping to counter balance the fore-mounted accessories while keeping the overall configuration's centre of gravity low.
Specifically designed to work with the VZ-FCU and EFCU focus control systems for the Sony PMW-EX1 and EX3, the DV rods system not only provides a mount for the focus bracket, it will allow users to add a mattebox or any other accessory that can be mounted to standard 15mm rods (19mm-15mm step-down adapter rings available for separate purchase).
The DV rod system prevents the top-heaviness that can lead to awkward tilting or wobbly shots with its broad, flat mounting surface and low profile.
