BES and Media Products

DEM Manufacturing specialises in the design and manufacture of high performance audio, video and data patching panels. Its two brands, BES and Media Products, provide a wide choice of patching products. These are complemented by a comprehensive range of mains distribution units.

For over 20 years the BES range of broadcast products has been recognised as a world leader for quality and specification in broadcast patching products and accessories. The BES brand has commissioned high performance connectors for both SD and HD with the latest devices providing the highest performance available in the market.

The Media range of products has been an established player in the broadcast media industry for over 20 years. With products installed world-wide, media patch panels, MDU's and installation products really are at the heart of the broadcast industry, delivering 1000's of signals to air every second of the day.


BES standard range of products include:

• HDTV patch panels – widely recognised as products with high performance and suitable for all standards including the 3G ‘cinema’ standard
• Termination panels – for video and audio
• Data patch panels – high reliability

Specialised units for video-changeover and audio-balancing are also available.

The PDU14 family of Power Distribution Units has been extended. The original units are configured as two 7-way PDU’s making them the ideal choice for distributing power in dual redundant systems.


The range has been extended to provide:

• sequential switching units
• changeover switching units
• units with circuit-breaker input switching
• A low-cost 14 way MDU

The PDU14-F-S-001 is a vertically mounted power distribution unit, which can be mounted on a flat surface without rack strip, or reversed to fit into a shallow rack. Intended uses include desk or monitor rack distribution.

Manufacturing under four brands: bes, Deltron (Components), Media, and Roxburgh (EMC), DEM are part of Alpha 3 Manufacturing Limited, which also incorporates electro-mechanical sub-contract manufacturers CCS Electronics and CTL Manufacturing.
