I am working as a self-employed freelance translator, offering to translate material from French and German into English. I am eager to translate 'general' documents, such documents including academic materials, articles and speeches to name a few; and I am confident that this industry is a good source of such material. I insist on echoing that 'good' translation is not just a matter of readable words and mere grammatical correctness in any shape or form; for I am aware that overlooking cultural differences and subtle linguistic conventions can cause confusion and even offence in the worst case scenarios!
