About Abbey Film Cars
Vintage, Classic and Modern Action Vehicles from Cars to Bikes, from Lorries to Fire Engines, Police Cars to Yachts for TV, Film & Media. We provide action vehicles and prop cars in Devon and Cornwall.
Whilst Abbey Film Cars was established in 2009, Malcolm Clark has been a Carriage Master for over 30 years. Both he and his fellow partner John Brzozka run successful chauffeur driven limousine and wedding car businesses.
We have been involved with vintage and classic vehicles for many years having owned various marques such as Rolls Royce, Riley, Daimler and Jaguar. Through our association with various enthusiast clubs we are able to source almost any vehicle required.
We have recently been involved with a German film company filming in the South West supplying them with all manner of vehicles, horse and carriages, fire engines plus crew, and even prop vehicles for explosions etc. Basically, whatever they asked for, we provided it – sometimes with only 24 hours notice!
We have been involved with a German film company providing them with anything they need for filming of Rosamunde Pilcher adaptations. They normally film between 5 & 6 films per year.
Recently we supplied the majority of vehicles for Doc Martin i.e. Burt’s campervan, taxi, vet’s van & farm 4 x 4.
Comic Strip presents a few years ago – Famous Five go to Rehab – gypsy caravan for Robbie Coltrane’s character, Range Rover, Mercedes and Wolseley flash back 1960’s police car complete with bell! We have recently completed supplying their latest film about the phone hacking scandal.
Other companies include the BBC, 12 Yard, Academy Films, Helix 3D, Charles Trywhitt shirts, Pangaea TV, Racked Films and ITV. We have done numerous TV adverts – the latest being the Nationwide Building Society with the Hillman Imp on Mevagissey pier, Clarkes Village – Beatles Abbey Road re-enactment. Dove. We also drove around Michael Winner for Winner’s Dinners.
