Based in North London, the team works in a fully equipped studio which is easily accessible from the West End. We can advise on budgets and developing concepts from their initial idea to final execution.

With over 20 years of experience in the art of costume making and design in South Africa and the UK, Ron continues to create new innovations for stage and screen.

Ron started his show-biz career as a professional magician. He teamed up with Mike Littlewood in Johannesburg, forming a headline act The Illusionists, which toured all the major resorts, nightclubs and theatres in Southern Africa. From designing the props and then the costumes for their own performances, other entertainers and producers soon commissioned The Illusionists to costume their shows.

Their talent soon had Mike and Ron in demand, making for Sun City Extravaganzas, and all forms of dance, circus and variety from their Johannesburg costume studio. They exported costumes to various Italian, Swiss and German circuses and spectacular revues in Korea, New York & Amsterdam for David Moore of Moore-Borau Productions, Paris.

In 2001 Ron and Mike moved base to the UK, where they freelanced for Amanda Barrow Costumes, making for many West End theatre productions including Mamma Mia, Lion King, Chicago, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and numerous works for the Royal Ballet.

For the movies, Ron worked for MBA Costumes as a free-lance maker, on the first Pirates of the Caribbean and in 2003 he made costumes for Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan and Steve Coogan for Around the World in 80 Days.

Now with his own London design studio, Ron heads a top team of costume-makers who have extensive experience in theatrical and film costumes.
