SHOOTFACTORY location agency represents locations in the UK and overseas.

SHOOTFACTORY was set up in 2007 by Jonathan King, who continues to work full time at the agency. Jonathan spent over 10 years in the advertising industry working on location in the UK, Sweden, Asia and South America for Sony Ericsson. He was also responsible for well known campaigns for Ferrari, Audi, Early Learning Centre, Yellow Pages, SEGA as well as record labels in the UK.

SHOOTFACTORY works closely with clients of all media; here’s a few brands to give you an idea:

Newspapers and Magazines, such as: The Times, Mail on Sunday, Tatler, Vogue, Nuts, FHM, Company, Living Etc., World of Interiors, NME.

Fashion: French Connection, Laura Ashley, Borbonese, Tie Rack, TM Lewin, M&S.

Interiors: the white company, M&S, NEXT, DWELL, Laura Ashley, B&Q, BHS, Sanderson, Dorma.

TV commercials: JOOP, DYSON, the Times, Dreams, Furniture Village, B&Q, Sensodyne.

Film and Music videos: Madonna’s Filth and Wisdom, Lemar 2010.

SHOOTFACTORY location agency does not represent photographers or stylists but enjoys a very good working relationship with these artists and their representative agents. We are always looking for new location houses and venues and do not ask that these are exclusive to SHOOTFACTORY. To become a location house for photo shoots, TV or film, please see our 'Register your property' section. We need to see images of your property to be considered for location work since its suitability will depend upon its style, size, layout and décor and of course its geographical location. There is no particular style of location property that we look for since our clients are constantly looking to vary their choice of location house and therefore, back-drop. Clients approach us for photographic location houses, locations such as venues, bars, clubs, photographic studios as well as industrial locations.

A typical day for a photo shoot would start at 9am and finish at 6pm. TV and film tend to be longer hours and often will ask for a 12 hour day. A photo shoot is a smaller affair and on average a team of 7 – 12 people would attend, whereas a film averages 30-50 people, of course, the location owner is rewarded financially for the difference and it is true to say that a photo shoot will pay between £500 and £1000 per day and film in excess of £1200.

SHOOTFACTORY remains a limited company owned by Jonathan and despite many offers from other agencies to buy us, we remain loyal to our home owners and clients. We have working relationships with other location agencies and share advice to improve our service to location owners, location managers as well as clients seeking a location for a photo shoot, TV commercial, film or event.
